Fireline Medics

About the EMT Position

Fireline Medics is seeking trained EMTs for the 2024 fire season. Our EMTs will be deployed to support and attend to those on the front lines of wildfire containment efforts across the United States. This role involves providing critical medical care in challenging environments, making it an essential part of our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate medical tents at Fire Base Camps.
  • Attend to individuals needing medical attention, either at the base or in a medical vehicle.
  • Perform demanding work in adverse environmental conditions, such as heat, smoke, and rugged terrain.
  • Collaborate effectively with other emergency response professionals and work well within a team.

Requirements:

  • Professional CPR Certification
  • NREMT Certification
  • Idaho State EMT Card (can be obtained via compact reciprocity by applying to a compact state like Wyoming or Utah)
  • Ability to work under pressure in diverse and challenging conditions
  • Willingness to work in outdoor settings and a love for the outdoors

Compensation:

  • Hourly pay with guaranteed overtime (1.5x pay)
  • Stipend for food and clothing
  • Travel costs for all deployments are fully covered by Fireline Medics
  • Hourly rates for EMTs range from $22.35 to $30.63 depending on experience and deployment type (single resource, camp ambulance, REMS, etc.)

Additional Information:

Applicants from all over the United States are welcome. There is no need to relocate for this position, as travel expenses are covered.
